Each publication is not just pages and illustrations, but also stories that we create together with our readers. In this section, we share the most important facts and numbers that reflect the growth, achievements, and values of our publishing house.

Here you will find serious numbers that we are proud of, as well as amusing details from the everyday life of Flintas' publishing house. Because behind every story lies our own history. 

Facts and numbers we are proud of:

  • Starting with Flintas magazine in 1996, we have grown to 13 periodicals not only in Lithuania but also in other European countries.
  • The first magazine was published by 4 people, but now at the publishing house work 27 employees and about 30 freelancers.
  • The most widely read magazine, CUTIE, is aimed at children aged 2y and above and is popular in 24 European countries. In other countries, it has fun names, such as Kipars (in Latvia), Nunnu (in Estonia), Sotnos (in Sweden), Bout'chou (in France), and Fofo (in Portugal), among many others.
  • All of our children's books and magazines are created in Lithuania by our strong and dedicated team of creators, in consultation with preschool education and educational specialists. Rasa Dagienė has headed the creative department since the company's inception.
  • Every year, we publish around 80 new titles of children's books and magazines.
  • Our educational, colouring, picture, and board books can be found in as many as 40 countries around the world.
  • The top three most subscribed children's magazines in Lithuania belong to our publishing house: Cutie, Little Bunny, and Little Gnome.
  • Since 2012, we have been regularly participating in the Frankfurt Book Fair and the Bologna Children's Book Fair, where we present our children's books to the world. 

Fun facts and numbers:

  • The CEO of the publishing house, Sikstas (Sixt) Ridzevičius, has six children. But he is considering changing his name to Oktavio in the future.
  • The Flintas' family is very large: 28 employees have 46 children and 12 grandchildren.
  • Flintas' employees are interesting and colourful personalities. During their free time, they drive cars for Ukrainian soldiers, organize basketball camps and family nature hikes, participate in brain battles,  take photographs, create impressive edible bouquets, jump in ice holes, lead volleyball training sessions, stage musicals for children, create crossword puzzles, create animated films, and much more!
  • Every spring, all of the publishing house's employees go on a short trip to visit book fairs in different cities. We explore market trends and gather new creative ideas. We have already visited book fairs in Warsaw, Prague, Krakow, Leipzig, and Paris.
  • Every year, we celebrate two big holidays. In November, the entire Flintas' team pulls their best costumes out of their closets and gathers for the annual KAFKA (Annual Golden Flintas' Team Awards) awards ceremony. The following awards are presented: Product of the Year, Initiative of the Year, Management Decision of the Year, Blunder of the Year, and Flintas' Employee of the Year.
  • In January, we celebrate a Christmas party organized by the newcomers who joined the team last year. Since these parties began, the team has participated in sports games "Flintiada", run dressed as animals in orienteering competitions around Kaunas Old Town, participated in a Mafia party, walked the red carpet dressed as famous characters, immersed themselves in the interwar atmosphere of Kaunas, and much more. It's really fun to be a member of Flintas' team!
